<< | Christmas Week | New Year's | Early January | Late January | >> ]

The Playoff Solution would schedule games in late December and January at the four BCS Bowls.  The playoffs would start around Christmas with two play-in games at the Fiesta Bowl and the Sugar Bowl.  The six automatically qualifying conference champions (ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC) would have a bye this first week.  Around New Year's, the four BCS Bowls would be played on their regular schedule, and the winners of those Bowls would meet in semifinal games the next week.  The Eastern Semifinal would be played at the Orange Bowl, and the Western Semifinal would be played at the Rose Bowl.  The championship would be held on the next Saturday at a BCS Bowl site on a rotating schedule.
